The last space mission!

I would just like to take this bloggertunity (pretty good huh?) to point out that even though the Nikon HQ in Japan is probably still shop vacuuming a little water out of their basement Nikon was STILL N.A.S.A.'s choice of camera to take to space.  Suck on that one time Canon!  #ha!

Franco, James! Where you at?

So, Hollywood star Franco, James branched out from acting in 2010 and got a lot of acclaim for his (ahem) art.  It aggravates me.  Franco, you're my art-nemesis now (yeah, it's so serious it's a hyphenate).  I'm the one who should be having packed openings at art galleries in New York!

I'd like to publicly challenge Franco.  An impartial judge chooses 3 verbs and 3 nouns and we each create a mini series around said nouns and verbs (5 pieces).  Then we both exhibit the work at Milk Gallery and you can taste the taste of defeat Jimmy!

Only problem is... I don't think he subscribes to my blog.  Anybody know how to get in touch with senor Franco?  'Cause it's on!

Nouns: Sky, Creature, Instinct
Verbs:  Explore, Let, Write

Back in effect!

I have a working computer again, and got straight to work watching Netflix and downloading new music for my iTunes.  Ha!  I've also been working on my website and it just went live a few mins ago.

There were quite a few wrenches thrown into the gears for me and my friend web designer. Rest assured there will be more logos, fun stuff, photos, and less pixellation, boredom, and repetition on my website as soon as I have a computer back in my life. Oye

Minus computer

So post graduation has been a life without computers in it. My hard drive crashed during finals week and almost a month later and... nothing. I've been spending a lot of quality time with actual books, which is nice, but somethings gotta give!

Winning!

My computer crashed, have had consecutive model cancellations, reprinted an entire portfolio (#coatingcotastrophy), but i'm done.  And I even managed a little shoe polishing for graduation.

Yeah!

Yeah, I did just design my business cards like that!  I'm getting them printed through MOO, the arrive June 9th (cutting it just a little close), and according to the website they will be printed on luxurious paper with smooth satin feel.  OOOH! 

Aaaand, they're double sided.  It's like buying a brand new shiny reversible jacket!  I am excitebike!

Jennifer & Joe

Perhaps you recall a few blog posts ago me freaking out over a couple of no reshoot situations.  Well, the wedding went fantastic.  The coordinator left us without a space for formal shots after the ceremony, but we pulled it together and came away having had a great time and taken lots of beautiful photos!

So, lemme shout out to my home skillet Anne-Michele who shot the wedding with me.  And congratulations and all the happiness there is to my friends Jennifer and Joe!

I got two 11x14 books, 40 adhesive strips, and a metal box big enough for 16x20 mat boards all (literally) for the same price I paid for ONE 8x10 book locally.  Swish!

Two images from a series involving Kansas that has been a long time coming.  When I think of the things I'm going to have time to concentrate on after I'm done with school I get very excite!  T-minus 5 weeks now.  FIVE WEEKS!!

Oh, yes I did!

Because everybody loves a sharp dressed photo, no?  (Yes.)  New logo and new website cooking for graduation.  The closer graduation gets the more I feel things beginning rather than ending.
I.  can'twaittogetoutofschool!  I'll need:

• my own lights
• information on bonding plexiglass together (not to mention the plexiglass)
• for the print lab to operate cooperatively all quarter long
• a new computer, camera, tattoo, and job.

Thank god I own orange corduroys.  (p.s. how the hell to you spell the plural of corduroy?)
